Phototherapy with turquoise versus blue light.
Preterm jaundiced infants were treated by phototherapy with a new turquoise fluorescent lamp. This was more effective in reducing plasma total bilirubin in relation to light irradiance than the ubiquitously used blue fluorescent lamp.
متن کاملPhototherapy with blue (415 nm) and red (660 nm) light in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
In this study we have evaluated the use of blue light (peak at 415 nm) and a mixed blue and red light (peaks at 415 and 660 nm) in the treatment of acne vulgaris. One hundred and seven patients with mild to moderate acne vulgaris were randomized into four treatment groups: blue light, mixed blue and red light, cool white light and 5% benzoyl peroxide cream. Subjects in the phototherapy groups u...
متن کاملSUPINE VERSUS TURNING POSITION ON BILIRUBIN LEVEL DURING PHOTOTHERAPY IN HEALTHY TERM JAUNDICED NEONATES
Position changes are believed to increase the efficacy of phototherapy and this practice is routinely used in all neonatal departments in our country. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of routine turning on the total serum bilirubin (TSB) concentration versus only supine position. In a randomized clinical trial fifty healthy term jaundiced neonates who were admitted to the ...
متن کاملCombination blue (415 nm) and red (633 nm) LED phototherapy in the treatment of mild to severe acne vulgaris.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Acne vulgaris represents both a challenge to the treating dermatologist and a major concern for the patient. Conventional treatments have proved inconsistent with often unacceptable side effects and high rates of recurrence. Non-thermal, non-laser, phototherapy for acne with a combination of blue and red light has recently attracted attention. The present study was desi...
